This notice explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We’ve kept it plain — no legal padding.

Who we are

vedrí vfx is the visual effects arm of Vedri Studio Ltd (trading as vedrí; “vedrí”, “we”, “us”, “our”), an independent studio in North Wales.

The information we collect

Information you give us. When you complete our enquiry form or email us, we collect:

  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • your company or organisation (if you provide it);
  • the service you’re enquiring about;
  • anything you tell us in your message (for example, format, shot count, deadlines, or links to cuts or boards).

You choose what to send us. Please don’t include sensitive personal information, or confidential material you’re not comfortable sharing by email.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our web server keeps standard technical logs — such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested — for security and to keep the site running. We don’t use these to identify you or to build a profile of you.

What we don’t do. We don’t use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. We don’t run third-party trackers or advertising pixels. We don’t sell your data — ever.

Cookies

We don’t use tracking or advertising cookies. A small number of strictly necessary cookies may be set by WordPress or our hosting and caching layer to keep the site secure and performing well; these don’t track you across other sites. Because we don’t set non-essential cookies, we don’t show a cookie consent banner.

How we use your information, and our lawful basis

We use the information you send us to:

  • respond to your enquiry and discuss your project — lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries;
  • keep our website secure and working — lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe, reliable site;
  • meet any legal or regulatory obligations — lawful basis: compliance with a legal obligation.

We don’t use your information for marketing without your consent, and we don’t send newsletters from this site.

Who we share it with

We keep your information to ourselves and only share it with the service providers that help us run the studio:

  • Our enquiry form provider (FormSubmit). Our contact form is delivered to us by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which passes your message to our inbox. Your form data is processed on their servers to do this. FormSubmit may process data outside the UK; where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers. Please see FormSubmit’s own privacy terms for detail.
  • Our hosting and email providers. Our website is hosted with a UK-based hosting provider, and we use business email to correspond with you.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We never sell or rent your personal information.

Where your information is stored

Our website and email are hosted in the UK. Enquiries submitted through our form are processed by FormSubmit (see above), which may involve a transfer outside the UK; where it does, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and project correspondence for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless we go on to work together — in which case we keep what we need for the working relationship and for any legal or accounting obligations. After that, we delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that’s wrong or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • ask us to restrict or object to how we use it;
  • ask for your information in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent where we relied on it.

To exercise any of these, email info@vedri.studio. We’ll respond within one month, and there’s normally no charge.

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the ICO:

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
