Announce Trailer

90-second cinematic · Fully engine-rendered · Games marketing

A ninety-second announce trailer rendered entirely in Unreal Engine — with the creative director framing shots on a virtual camera in our studio, the way you’d block a live-action shoot.

The brief

A games team needed an announce trailer that matched the tone of their in-game world but with cinematic camera language their in-house team didn’t have the bandwidth to build. The deadline was a platform showcase; the deliverable was 4K, and the world assets already existed in Unreal.

How we approached it

Because the environment already lived in-engine, we skipped the traditional previs-then-render loop entirely. We ingested the project, dressed the world with cinematic lighting, and ran shoot days the same way we run our virtual production stage: director on a virtual camera, shots blocked and performed in real time, every take reviewable the moment it was captured. Grading and finishing ran through the same Rec 709-matched pipeline we use for live-action plates, so engine output cut seamlessly against captured gameplay.

“The client’s creative director operated the camera himself. That’s what real-time actually buys you — the person with the vision gets their hands on the shot, instead of writing notes about it three days later.”
